Through the Garden Gate- House #8

This relatively young house was built to fit into this older neighborhood and was virtually a blank canvas to work on by the current owners.  Environmentally conscious they planted a low maintenance Scotch moss to replace the front lawn and the home itself is powered by solar energy and Bullfrog power.

In the front natural stone pathways curve through gardens of hostas, wooly thyme, boxwood, low shrubs and drought tolerant perennials. By using only a few plants and placing them in  large clusters the owner, a ‘self taught’ gardener, has created a space with uncluttered beds and a succession of colour.
