Through the Garden Gate-House #15

A steep uphill slope and a multitude of rocks is how this garden began 18 years ago.  Up for the challenge the owners changed this seemingly unworkable space into a garden showpiece.  Terraced gardens in the front and back of the home are planted with specimens that the gardener felt had the greatest visual impact.

A beautiful deep purple leaved weeping Japanese maple, Japanese forest grass and daylilies all give splashes of colour and texture while strategically placed artwork show a creative side to the beds.

A small flagstone seating area allows guests the opportunity to enjoy the view while colourful container plantings bring everything together.
