Sesame Green Beans

Here is a recipe to kick up a weekday vegetable side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 gloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes.
  • 1tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Boil the green beans for 5 minutes. Drain and then plunge into a bowl of ice water to stop them from cooking further.
  2. In a fry pan over med-high heat oil. Add garlic. Cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add the red pepper flakes and stir for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the green beans.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce.
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
