Yorkshire Pudding

Growing up a roast beef dinner would not be complete without Yorkshire pudding. Perfect little puffed up dough that deflate just enough to allow you to fill with gravy. Perfect! I've been known to make these up randomly and eat plain I love them so much.

  • 1/2 to 1 cup oil
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs, well beaten


  1. *Try to make this batter 1 hour before cooking to create a lighter dough.
  2. In bowl combine flour, salt, milk and eggs. Mix until moist leaving some lumps.
  3. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  4. In a 12 cup muffin tin add oil to each well to about 1 cm high.
  5. Place muffin tin into oven to heat up oil approximately 5 minutes.
  6. Pour batter into hot oil filling each well halfway full.
  7. Place back in oven immediately and cook for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and puffy.
  8. Remove from oven and serve. Do worry when they deflate, that is suppose to happen.
