  1. Does anyone know any recipes for the fruit produced by this akebia? Just to clarify, the fruit is edible. Beautiful flowers in the spring, a pretty great vine. Watch out however to not allow shoots to get into holes and gaps, they will grow practically everywhere if they can. We have two different varieties of akebias, one we bought around 8 years ago, the other recently, 3 years ago. This is why it's our first year with a multitude of the fruits.
