Abelia

Abelia (2)

This semi-evergreen shrub is a great addition to the landscape with its purple –pink or white flowers blooming in the summer to mid fall and its leaves turning from a glossy green to purple hue during the seasonal color change.

Planted in the full sun or partial shade with moist acidic soil, Abelia will grow into a tidy 4 feet high and 4 feet wide rounded shrub.

The flowers bloom only on new wood so make sure you prune this plant each spring.
