    Classic Club Sandwich

    Today is National Sandwich Day.

One of my favorite sandwiches to order out is a classic club sandwich. It’s also super simple to make at home. You can use leftover turkey or chicken or just pick some up at the deli.

  • 3 slices white bread, crusts removed
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 lettuce leaf
  • 2 ounces thinly sliced cooked chicken or turkey meat
  • 3-4 thin slices of ripe tomato
  • 4 slices crisp cooked bacon

    1. Toast the bread and let it dry slightly.
    2. Spread each slice of bread with mayonnaise.
    3. Place a layer of lettuce on top of first slice of bread, then the chicken, a bread slice, followed by the tomato, and the bacon. Finish with the last slice of bread.
    4. Cut into quarters and secure with toothpicks if needed.
